Timothy J. Todish………......………….……“The Journals of Major Robert Rogers”
“The Journals of Major Robert Rogers.” Robert Rogers was one of the most daring of the partisan leaders of the French & Indian War. Surviving many fierce battles and skirmishes, including his legendary raid of the Indian village of St. Francis, he was selected to lead the first British party into Michigan to accept the surrender of Detroit at the end of the war. This program will look at Rogers’ exploits through his own words in his famous “Journals,” as well as through the eyes of those who fought both along side and against him. The tradition of his famous rangers is carried on by the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Special Forces of our modern army. About the Speaker and His Publications:
